Blenders environment isn’t the easiest, but you can reduce the interface elements because all panels in blender can be split or joined, and they can all be any one of about 12 different panels, including 3D window, Buttons, IPO Curve Editor, or Image Sequence Editor (blender video editor tool).
Maybe down the road I will do some tutorials in blender to show how one works in blender effectively.. Once you know it, its easy.. However I should be the one to talk, I was one of the first few who received instruction directly from Ton, but I swear blender is soooo much easier to use now than it ever was..
