For this short example to change the speed of a sound file, (once you download Audacity!!) File/Open/Choose a sound file/Open/Wait for the Import dialogue message to finish/Edit-Select-All/Effect, then choose the effect/OK/File-Export as ** WAV or other-Save As-Save!
Easy and fun!!
